1 Seriously Injured in Smith River Crash on North Indian Road
SMITH RIVER, CA (April 20, 2023) – One was seriously injured after a crash on North Indian Road in Smith River.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Wednesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck on April 19 shortly before 5 p.m.
The incident happened when two cars collided for an unknown in Smith River. The vehicles crashed at 350 North Indian Road near Highway 101.
2 Cars Collide
CHP described the cars as a silver Ford Explorer and a white Acura. One of the vehicles involved obtained side damage upon impact.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found one person who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officers forced a stretch of Indian Road to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Smith River crash is still under investigation.
