1 Badly Injured Crash on Snelling Road Near Youd Road
SNELLING, CA (October 2, 2021) – One was badly injured after a crash near Snelling Road and Youd Road in Merced County.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place early Saturday. Officers reported the wreck at about 2:08 a.m. in the Snelling area.
The incident happened when a male party was fixing the battery of his vehicle on the side of Snelling Road, just south of the Youd Road intersection.
2 Vehicles Involved
Another vehicle approached and clipped the person in the process. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found the victim who sustained moderate injuries as a result of the collision. An air ambulance then took the patient to a hospital for treatment.
Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded individual and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Snelling and Youd roads to shut down following the crash.
The cause of the collision still under investigation.
