3-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 5 Freeway in Solana Beach
SOLANA BEACH, Calif. (Sept. 27, 2022) — A multi-vehicle crash on the southbound Interstate 5 Freeway happened Tuesday morning at Lomas Santa Fe Drive in the Solana Beach area of San Diego County.
The collision occurred in the No. 1 and HOV lanes about 9:45 a.m. on Sept. 27th, according to a California Highway Patrol.
A bakery box truck, a Chevrolet Traverse and an electric vehicle collided due to unknown circumstances. One of the vehicles caught on fire following the collision. The Chevrolet suffered major front-end damage in the collision.
Paramedics responded to help those hurt in the crash, but there are no further details.
Tow trucks came to remove the damaged vehicles from the scene.
