Minor Injury Crash on I-5 Freeway in Solana Beach
SOLANA BEACH, Calif. (August 16, 2022) — A multi-vehicle Solana Beach crash on the Interstate 5 Freeway happened Tuesday morning near Lomas Santa Fe Drive.
Also, the collision occurred in the southbound lanes of the I-5 about 8:20 a.m. on August 16th, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch report.
The drivers of a gray BMW, a white BMW, a white Volkswagen and a fourth vehicles were involved. One of the BMW vehicles and the Volkswagen were reportedly blocking the middle lanes. The report states the BMW was “torn up” and unmovable, the report said.
Meanwhile, paramedics responded to help at least one person suffering minor injuries from the collision.
Tow trucks removed at least two of the vehicles due to damage.
Finally, investigators are piecing together what led to the Solana Beach crash and liability.
