1 Killed in Car Accident Near 80 Freeway and 680 Freeway Split
SOLANO COUNTY (January 6, 2019) – A fatal traffic collision occurred near the Interstate Highway 80 and the 680 Freeway split late Saturday night, according to NBC Bay Area.
The accident was reported on January 5 at about 10:53 p.m.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol said two vehicles were confirmed to have collided on the eastbound 80 Freeway near the connector from the northbound 680 Freeway at Cordelia.

Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and affirmed that at least one person was killed as a result of the crash.
The name of the deceased has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the report did not mention if any other party suffered injuries upon impact. Two left eastbound lanes of the 80 Freeway were forced to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
