2 Killed, 4 Injured in Solano County Crash on Suisun Valley Road Near Fairfield
SOLANO COUNTY, CA (November 18, 2022) – A crash killed two people and injured several others on Suisun Valley Road near Fairfield in Solano County.
According to The Daily Republic and FOX 40 News, the tragic accident took place on Friday evening. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 6:05 p.m.
The incident began when a Mazda was traveling at a high rate of speed south on Suisun Valley Road near Fairfield in Solano County.
The California Highway Patrol said the Mazda then spun out of control and went off the roadway. The car slammed into a tree, continued spinning and partially landed on the rear axle of a car.
Speeding Driver Hits Cars
In the process, the speeding driver struck a third vehicle near Mankas Corner Road and Morrison Lane. CHP described the other cars involved as a white Honda sedan and a Chrysler.
The Honda obtained major damage due to the impact of the collision. The speeding driver and an adult passenger died while a child with them survived as a result of the accident.
The two occupants of the Honda and one person in the Chrysler sustained minor injuries. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, officers forced Suisun Valley Road to shut down for hours between Rockville and Ledgewood roads following the wreck. The fatal Solano County crash is still under investigation.
