Fiery Crash on Highway 101

SOLEDAD, Calif. (June 7, 2024) — A multi-vehicle car accident happened Friday afternoon in Soledad on U.S. Highway 101.

The traffic accident occurred at around 1 PM on Friday June 7th according to the California Highway Patrol.

A grey SUV and a brown SUV along with two other vehicles were involved in the traffic accident in Soledad on U.S Highway 101. Two of the four vehicles were facing on coming traffic. It was reported that the people involved were able to exit the vehicles safely and were walking around the lane. One car was blocking the freeway with the airbags deployed. Another car caught on fire, but the flames were extinguished. The debris from the traffic collision caused a major traffic hazard and backed up the freeway about a half a mile.

Paramedics arrived on the scene and transported those with injuries to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Tow trucks were also requested on scene to remove the debris from the crash off the highway.

Investigators are working to determine fault for the accident in Soledad on U.S Highway 101.
