Two Passengers with Minor Injuries in Crash on US 101 Highway
SOLEDAD, Calif. (July 19, 2024) — A two-vehicle car accident happened Friday evening on the US 101 Highway in Soledad California in Monterey County.
The traffic accident occurred at around 6:27 PM on Thursday July 19th, 2024, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A black Audi, white Honda and a third unknown vehicle all collided on the US 101. The white Honda became a large traffic hazard in the second lane of the highway. Two vehicles ended up in the center divide, one of them was the black Audi. The Highway 101 was completely shut down in both directions. Two injuries were reported, the extent of these injuries are unknown.
Two ambulances were requested on the scene in addition to the fire department. The paramedics responded and located those with injuries and transported them to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Tow trucks were also needed on the accident scene to remove the damaged vehicles from the highway.
Investigators are working to determine who is at fault for the accident in Soledad California on the US 101 Highway.
