Pickup Trucks, Car Involved in Crash Near Solvang Ostrich Farm
SOLVANG, Calif. (June 12, 2024) — A multi-vehicle car accident happened in Solvang on Wednesday afternoon on the State Route Highway 246 in Santa Barbara County.
The traffic accident occurred at around 1:44 PM, on Wednesday June 12th, just east of Ostrichland USA, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A white Chevrolet 3500 pickup, a Dodge work truck and a grey Honda sedan all crashed into one another on eastbound State Route 246.
Due to the impact of the crash the work truck ended up in the center divide and the Honda sedan went off the shoulder of the highway. It was reported following the crash that the passengers of the Honda had not come out of the vehicle. CHP reported that the accident created a traffic hazard on the highway. In addition, because of the hazard that had emerged from the crash, tow trucks were required to remove the debris off of the highway.
Paramedics responded and located those who may have been injured due to the collision and transported them to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the accident on State Route 246 in Solvang California.
