SOLVANG, California (August 18, 2016) – A boy on a skateboarder was hit and critically injured Wednesday night on Mission Drive, according to Noozhawk.
The collision took place about 8:45 p.m.
As per the article, Santa Barbara County Fire Department said the young skateboarder suffered critical head injuries after being struck by a sedan.
The juvenile, appeared to be around 11 years old, was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. His name and condition at this time remained unknown.
Meanwhile, fire department added that the driver involved was reportedly distraught following the accident. The motorist was unharmed.
The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
