Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Somerset Crash on Grizzly Flat Road
EL DORADO COUNTY, CA (February 20, 2021) – A crash seriously injured a motorcyclist along Grizzly Flat Road in Somerset.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred late Saturday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 11: 52 a.m.
The motorcycle rider and a vehicle collided for an unknown reason in the community of Somerset. The two crashed on Grizzly Flat Road between Steely Ridge Road and Sweeny Road.

CHP said firefighters along with the paramedics then responded to the scene. They found the motorcyclist suffering from major head injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took the patient to the Marshall Medical Center for treatment. The name of the wounded party and their condition at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, officers forced Grizzly Flat to briefly shut down following the crash. Authorities are still determining the cause of the wreck.
