Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Somerset Crash on Bucks Bar Road
EL DORADO COUNTY, CA (July 21, 2021) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a crash on Bucks Bar Road in the Somerset community.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Wednesday afternoon. Officers reported the incident at about 4:16 p.m.
According to CHP, a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Somerset. The driver hit the victim at 5893 Bucks Bar Road near Sand Ridge Road.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the city of Placerville. They found the person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a portion of Bucks Bar Road to shut down following the collision. They also did not mention if the motorist involved stopped after hitting the person.
The cause of the Somerset pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
