Major Crash on SR-118 in Ventura County
SOMIS, Calif. (Dec. 9, 2020) — Three vehicles collided Wednesday morning on State Route 118 also known as Los Angeles Avenue in Somis.
The Ventura County collision was reported at 6 a.m. on Dec. 9th at Clubhouse Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Two cars were blocking the westbound lanes and a white Ford Explorer SUV went off the roadway and into a ditch.
The involved gray Toyota Prius and silver Ford Focus both suffered major front-end damage in the collision.
VCFD Responds to Crash on State Route 118
The Ventura County Fire Department responded to treat those who were injured, but the report didn’t state whether anyone was taken to a hospital.
Meanwhile, all three vehicles were towed from the roadway due to heavy damage. It’s unknown at this time what led up to the multi-vehicle crash.
Police are investigating the cause of the collision and liability. Witnesses may contact the CHP and reference incident No. 00035.
