1 Killed, 2 Injured in Somis Car Accident on Highway 118
SOMIS (December 23, 2018) – One was killed and two were injured after a traffic collision early Sunday along Highway 118, also known as Los Angeles Avenue, according to Ventura County Star.
The accident was reported on December 23 at around 12:20 a.m. between Aggen and Bradley roads.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol said for an unknown reason two vehicles collided head-on. One of the cars involved rolled over as a result of the crash.
Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded and extricated an occupant who was initially found trapped inside the wreckage upon impact.

The victim who was rescued was then pronounced dead at the scene.
Two people suffered minor injuries following the incident and were transported to local hospitals for treatment. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, both directions of Highway 118 were forced to shut down after the wreck that occurred about two miles west of the intersection of Highway 118 and Highway 34.
A third vehicle was believed to have been involved in the collision which remains under investigation.
