Woman Killed, Anthony Jones Hurt in Sacramento Crash
Mark Grosvenor, 34, Arrested for DUI
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (April 24, 2020) – Sonciera Dejarnette Bomar-Royal, age 43, of Rio Linda, died and Anthony Jones was hurt last Saturday in a solo-vehicle collision into a tree in Sacramento.
The driver, Mark Grosvenor, 34, of Rancho Cordova, was among two hurt in the crash and was charged with DUI, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP reported the crash took place about 10:20 a.m. on April 18th.
The vehicle was traveling southbound on Highway 160, just north of Canterbury Road. Grosvenor was found outside of the wrecked vehicle and Bomar-Royal and a second passenger, Anthony Jones, 26, were found trapped inside.
All three were transported to a local hospital where Bomar-Royal succumbed to her injuries.
Grosvenor was later arrested at the hospital for driving under the influence at the time of the crash.
