On October 21, Friday, at approximately 4:00 p.m., a gray or silver Mitsubishi Eclipse or Pontiac Grand Am struck a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
The impact thrown the pedestrian to the ground, and resulted in injuries that required hospital treatment. He was confined in Queen of the Valley Hospital.
When the deputies arrived at the intersection, the suspect was nowhere to be found. Later, witnesses described the hit-and-run driver–a white male in his 20s, and his vehicle was last seen heading north on Broadway toward Patten Street.
A search operation was launched to find the suspect.
