3 Hurt Car, Big Rig Truck Accident Mark West Springs Road
SONOMA COUNTY, Calif. (Feb. 7, 2019) — Three people were seriously hurt Wednesday morning when a big rig truck and a passenger vehicle collided on Mark West Springs Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision was reported at 9:30 a.m., just north of Riebli Road. One person was trapped in the wreckage and required extrication by arriving firefighters.
Paramedics rushed three people to hospitals by ambulance. Two suffered moderate to major injuries in the crash and the condition of the third was not disclosed in the report.
The tanker rig reportedly suffered a leak that required cleanup from road crews.
Firefighters from Rincon Valley, Windsor and Santa Rosa were at the scene and both lanes of the roadway were eventually cleared by 11:10 a.m.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash and will determine fault.
