Child, Bus Driver Hospitalized After Collision Near Olivet Road Friday
Sonoma County, CA (March 4, 2022) – Several people, including an 18-month-old child, suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on River Road Friday.
The CBS News reported a passenger vehicle crashed into the back of a car making a left-hand turn into a driveway near Olivet Road. Due to the force from the impact, the vehicle that triggered the collision pivoted into the westbound lane. Authorities said the vehicle then slammed head-on into a Sonoma County transit bus.
When emergency crews arrived at the site, they found the bus toppled on its side in a ditch.

The article published online mentioned a Good Samaritan pulled over to provide help. The passerby reportedly pulled out the 18-month-old from a car seat in the mangled car. Due to the condition of the child, paramedics rushed them to the hospital for treatment and further evaluation.
Officers added two other occupants in the car, and the driver of the bus all sustained minor to moderate injuries as a result of the incident. Personal information on the victims remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the traffic accident on River Road in Sonoma County.
