3 Injured in Sonoma County Crash on Bennett Valley Road Near Glen Ellen
SONOMA COUNTY, CA (April 29, 2023) – Several were hospitalized after a crash on Bennett Valley Road near Glen Ellen.
According to a report published by The Press Democrat, the accident took place on Friday morning. Officers reported the wreck on April 29 at about 10:34 a.m.
The incident happened when a Ford Mustang was going east on Bennett Valley Road outside Glen Ellen in Sonoma County.
At the same time, a white Sherriff’s Office community service van and a Honda Accord were traveling west. For an unknown reason, the Mustang drifted into the oncoming lane near Keiser Ranch Road.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
The Sherriff’s Office community service officer veered to avoid the Mustang. The California Highway Patrol said in the process, their van slammed into a tree.
The Mustang then struck the Honda behind the van head-on. The 17-year-old driver of the Mustang, the officer and the woman driving the Accord ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Paramedics rushed all three patients to the Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Bennett Valley Road to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Glen Ellen crash is still under investigation.
