2 Killed After Car Crashes Down Cliff at Bodega Head Saturday
Sonoma, CA (April 3, 2021) – Two people died following a car accident at Bodega Head Saturday morning, the Press Democrat News reported.
Our sources indicated a vehicle with two occupants crashed through a parking lot barrier for an unknown reason. The gold Toyota SUV drove down a cliff at the scenic Pacific Ocean overlook.
According to the news article published online, the SUV landed on its roof. The vehicle came to a rest after falling approximately 70 feet down a cliff.
Deadly Car Accident in Sonoma County, April 3
Rescue teams, including a Henry 1 helicopter, rushed to the accident scene. The Bodega Bay Fire Protection District and the Sheriff’s Office also responded to the collision. By the time medical personnel were ale to get down to the wreckage, the two female occupants were both lifeless. Officials pronounced the driver and passenger dead at the scene.
The names of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
At this time, the California Highway Patrol group continue to investigate the precise cause of the fatal car accident at Bodega Head.
