SONOMA (March 10, 2017)- According to the Press-Demoncrat, Jesus Molina Lopez, 21, of Sonoma, was seriously injured following a DUI crash Friday morning at the intersection of Highway 12 and Verano Avenue.
Authorities report that the crash occurred at around 4:45 a.m. when a 17-year-old teen of Sonoma lost control and crashed.
The vehicle overturned and ejected Lopez causing major injuries to the 21-year-old. He was rushed to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital and remains in critical condition.
Police officials were able to determine that the teen was under the influence of alcohol. He was also seriously injured in the collision as well and is being kept at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
The teen will faces charges and will be placed under arrest once released from the hospital.
