Pedestrian Severely Injured in Sonoma Crash at Broadway and Andrieux Street
SONOMA, CA (April 24, 2021) – A pedestrian was severely injured after an accident at Broadway and Andrieux Street in Sonoma.
According to an article published by the Sonoma News, the collision occurred last week on Saturday night. Officers reported the crash on April 17 at about 9 p.m.
The incident happened when a vehicle was going south on Broadway after leaving a nearby gas station. At the same time, a female pedestrian and her dog were in the crosswalk near the center divider.
Dog Killed in Collision Near Hopmonk Tavern
For an unknown reason, the driver struck the person in the area of Broadway and Andrieux Street. Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene in front of the Hopmonk Tavern.
Medical personnel found the pedestrian suffering from severe injuries as a result of the collision. They rushed her to a hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, police said the dog died upon impact. They added that the motorist pulled over and stayed at the site following the accident.
Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and her condition at this time. Meanwhile, authorities are still investigating the crash.
