Major Injury Collision at Thomson Avenue and Highway 12
Sonoma, CA (April 16, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a traffic accident that occurred in the area of East Thomson Avenue and State Route Highway 12.
Officials said a sedan struck a juvenile riding on scooter at the intersection in Sonoma. CHP logged the case on April 16, Sunday, around 1:03 p.m.
At Least 1 Hospitalized After Road Accident in Sonoma
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found a red Lexus car with significant damage. Authorities added the juvenile riding the scooter sustained major injuries as a result of the wreck. Responding medical personnel rendered first aid to the victim, then transported them to a hospital for further treatment and evaluation. Personal information on the patient remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Investigators stayed at the scene the whole afternoon. They continue to gather information to determine exactly how and why the crash happened at East Thomson Avenue and State Route Highway 12 in Sonoma.
