SONORA, California (October 19, 2016) – According to an article by Modbee, 30-year-old pedestrian Jessica Williams sustained major injuries after being struck by a vehicle on North Washington Street at Elkin.
As per the report, Williams was hit by a silver Honda sedan turning east onto Elkin from southbound Washington at around 9:15 a.m.
The crash resulted in Williams suffering in major injuries. Responding paramedics transported her to Sonora Regional Medical Center by ambulance, then later airlifted the 30-year-old woman to a Modesto hospital.
Police affirmed the involved male driver stopped briefly but then fled after several witnesses contacted law enforcement.
Currently, a 76-year-old Louis Page is wanted on suspicion of felony hit-and-run.
Further investigation in underway.
