At Least 1 Badly Hurt in Traffic Collision at Forest Rite 4N47 and Crabtree Road Monday
Sonora, CA (August 23, 2021) – A car accident that occurred in the area of Forest Rite 4N47 and Crabtree Road resulted in injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
Earlier reports indicated a vehicle overturned near the Sonora junction Monday evening. The CHP logged the incident at approximately 7:40 p.m.
When emergency teams arrived at the location, they found at least one person trapped in the wreckage. Responding firefighters worked extensively to extricate the victim. After successfully pulling out the victim, paramedics attended to their injuries.

Authorities later confirmed the male party suffered major trauma as a result of the collision; including severe injuries to his head, and a dislocated shoulder.
A helicopter later landed near the crash site. The air ambulance transported the patient to Doctor’s Medical Hospital in Modesto for treatment.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the car accident in Sonora.
