2-Car Crash on Highway 49 in Sonora Thursday
SONORA (September 13, 2018) – A traffic collision resulting in possible injuries took place along Highway 49 on Thursday afternoon, according to My Mother Lode.
The accident was reported at approximately 12:30 p.m.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol said for an unknown reason two vehicles collided on Highway 49 near the O’Hara Drive intersection. The crash occurred between Parrotts Ferry Road and Columbia Way.
Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and attended to the parties who appeared to have been hurt following the wreck. The extent of the injuries sustained and the total number of the injured were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, both lanes of Highway 49 were forced to shut down as a result of the incident. Authorities are still gathering more information and evidence to determine the cause of the collision.
