Motorcyclist Killed in Sonora Crash on Highway 108 Near Mono Way
SONORA, CA (January 10, 2022) – A crash killed a motorcyclist on Highway 108 near Mono Way in Sonora.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident took place on Monday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 4:37 p.m.
CHP said the motorcycle rider and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason in the city of Sonora. The two crashed on Highway 108, just west of Lower Mono Way.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene, in front of the McDonald’s. They confirmed that the motorcyclist died as a result of the collision.
The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the other driver stopped and stayed at the site following the wreck.
Officers forced a stretch of Highway 108 to shut down for three and a half hours near Mono after the incident. The cause of the fatal Sonora crash is still under investigation.
