SONORA (October 27, 2016)- According to the California Highway Patrol, two French tourists and a Sonora woman suffered injuries following a collision Thursday, October 20th, at Highway 49 and O’ Hara Drive.
At roughly 5:00 p.m., the driver of a Toyota Camry driven by Kava Massey, 89, slammed into the back of a ’95 Camry driven by Dina Jones, 56. The impact of the rear-end crash propelled Jones’s vehicle into the intersection where the vehicle struck a man and a woman visiting from France riding a 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle.
The collision left the woman passenger with significant injuries as she was rushed to Doctors Med Center in the city of Modesto. She was last said to be in serious condition.
The operator of the motorcycle suffered moderate injuries as he was taken to Sonora Regional Med Center.
Dina Jones was also moderate injured and transported to Sonora Regional as well.
CHP officials determined that Massey caused the accident and was not under the influence.
