Child Hit and Injured by Vehicle on Jacksonville Road Saturday
Sonora, CA (August 28, 2021) – A pedestrian accident occurred Saturday morning on Jacksonville Road, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
Initial records indicated a vehicle struck a child in the 11405 block of Jacksonville Road. At this time, the make and model of the car involved in the collision remained unknown.
Major Injury Pedestrian Accident in Sonora, August 28
Shortly after 9:49 a.m., emergency crews arrived at the crash site. Responding medical personnel immediately rendered aid to the juvenile found with injuries. The California Highway Patrol dispatch later confirmed the child sustained major injuries as a result of the wreck.
Authorities said the parents of the child were also at the accident scene. However, it remained unclear whether they were injured or unharmed in the collision.
Investigators handling the case continue to work at this time to determine the precise circumstances that led to the pedestrian accident Jacksonville Road.
