Woman Hit by Car in Accident at Sonora Intersection
Sonora, Calif. (March 20, 2024) — A woman was injured in a pedestrian accident Saturday night at South Washington Street and East Jackson Street in downtown Sonora.
The collision occurred at around 8:07 p.m. on March 16th, according to the Sonora Police Department and MyMotherLode.
Police and paramedics responded to the Sonora intersection after receiving a 911 call reporting the pedestrian accident.
The woman was transported by ambulance to a hospital with undisclosed injuries, but she was awake and conscious.
Police questioned the driver after the collision about the circumstances leading up to the collision, but there were no known arrests or citations made.
Liability for the woman’s injuries will be determined upon the completion of the police investigation.
