Bicyclist Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash at 41st Avenue and Soquel Drive
SOQUEL, CA (September 2, 2021) – A bicyclist was injured after a hit-and-run crash at 41st Avenue and Soquel Drive.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Thursday evening. Officers reported the incident at about 7:40 p.m. in Soquel.
CHP said a vehicle struck the bicycle rider for an unknown reason. The driver hit the victim at the intersection of 41st Avenue and Soquel Drive.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Highway 1. They found the cyclist left wounded as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then treated the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the accident. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the bicycle rider and fled the area. They found the vehicle abandoned on Old Clubhouse Road.
Officers forced the intersection of 41st Avenue and Soquel Drive to close following the hit-and-run crash. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
