Passenger Injured in DUI Accident at Durfee Avenue and Rush Street
SOUTH EL MONTE (May 28, 2018) – A fatal alleged DUI crash occurred in the area of Durfee Avenue and Rush Street early Sunday, May 27, according to San Gabriel Valley Tribune.
The solo-car accident took place just after 3:10 a.m. in the intersection.
As per the article, deputies said a pickup truck crashed into two parked unoccupied vehicles and then struck a tree. After the collision, the vehicle came to a rest in the parking lot of an Auto Zone store.

The drive of the pickup was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner’s office identified the motorist as 25-year-old Joshua Harris, of South El Monte.
The male passenger of the truck was immediately taken to an area hospital with unspecified injuries. His name and condition at this time remained unknown.
Meanwhile, officials believed that Harris was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the wreck. The incident remains under investigation.
