The California’s largest container port complex lies within the Los Angeles Metropolitan region. Due to its heavy trade profile, and the staggering number of commercial trucks moving tons of cargo within the state’s many highways, the region is vulnerable to fatal commercial tractor-trailer accidents. Data show that usually, passenger car occupants are far more likely to suffer fatal injuries than those riding the truck due to the significant differences on the built and size of the two vehicles.
At this time, authorities are all dedicated to determine what precisely caused the tragic accident. It is very important to know—was any of the involved motorist under the influence of alcohol or drugs when the crash took place? Did excessive speed or distracted driving play a role? Was there negligence on the party of either the two parties?
