SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, California (February 3, 2017) – A fatal traffic collision took place on Luther Pass Wednesday, according to Lake Tahoe News.
The accident occurred about 4:30 p.m. on Highway 89 near Grass Lake.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol said a 30-year-old Carson City man
was driving a Ford F150 north on Highway 89 when for an unknown reason he veered onto the shoulder and overcorrected.
The pick then went into oncoming traffic and collided with a Chevy 4500. The Ford driver was killed following the crash.
The Chevy, which belongs to PR Supply, was driven by a 36-year-old Gardnerville man at the time. He was not hurt.
Meanwhile, a Subaru carrying three people failed to avoid the deadly incident. Two adults were transported to Barton Memorial Hospital with injuries ranging from minor to moderate degree.
The third occupant, a 2-year-old boy, was uninjured. The names of the parties involved have not been yet released.
The collision remains under investigation.
