South Lake Tahoe, CA (March 17, 2025) — A two-vehicle crash occurred Monday morning near Pioneer Trail on U.S. Highway 50 in Meyers in the South Lake Tahoe community.
The traffic collision resulted in minor injuries and significant vehicle damage, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident was first reported at 7:35 AM on March 17th between the drivers of a white 2022 Ford F-150 pickup truck and a black truck.
According to the CHP, the vehicles were not drivable due to major front-end damage and were blocking both traffic lanes. By 7:40 AM, two tow trucks were contacted to remove the vehicles from the scene. The crash led to a temporary disruption of traffic, with lanes blocked for several minutes.
By 7:58 AM, the CHP updated the incident status, indicating that the collision resulted in minor injuries. Emergency services responded to the scene, and the situation was cleared shortly after. The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Drivers in the area were advised to expect delays as recovery operations continued.
