1 Seriously Injured in South Lake Tahoe Crash on Lake Tahoe Boulevard
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, CA (March 20, 2022) – One was seriously injured after a DUI crash on Lake Tahoe Boulevard in South Lake Tahoe.
According to an article published by the Tahoe Daily Tribune, the accident took place late Saturday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 11:30 p.m.
The incident happened on March 19 when a white SUV was going east on Lake Tahoe Boulevard towards Stateline in South Lake Tahoe. Police said a pickup truck then clipped the car from behind.
The SUV spun out of control in the process near Sierra Boulevard.
2 Cars Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found the driver of the SUV hurt. He sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took him to the Barton Memorial Hospital and listed him in stable condition. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded victim.
Meanwhile, police determined that the motorist in the pickup was under the influence at the time. They soon arrested him for DUI.
Officers forced a stretch of Lake Tahoe Boulevard to shut down following the wreck. The South Lake Tahoe crash is still under investigation.
