SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, EL DORADO COUNTY (March 27, 2016) – A pedestrian sustained injuries after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 50 Saturday evening, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The accident happened at around 10:20 p.m. in a Chevron gas station.
Preliminary record stated that a person was just suddenly struck by an oncoming car which was believed to be a BMW sedan with either a black or silver color.
The suspect’s vehicle managed to escape after the smash.
The force from the slam downed the pedestrian who suffered head injuries. In a good light, the victim did not sustain life-threatening wounds and was immediately given medical attention by the responding paramedic team.
The officers found a broken side mirror at the scene and they took it as a lead to find the suspect’s vehicle.
The CHP log mentioned that the officers who urgently acted on the case has found a black BMW at the fourth floor of the Hard Rock parking garage. Its seen damages initially matched the found side mirror from the crash site. No further information was provided on this matter.
Investigators assigned to work on the case continue their best efforts to look more closely into the gathered evidences before raising citations on the incident.
