
1 Killed, 1 Injured in South Los Angeles Crash on Florence Avenue
LOS ANGELES, CA (March 18, 2023) – A car crash killed one person and injured another on West Florence Avenue in South Los Angeles.
According to the On Scene TV and My News LA, the tragic accident took place early Saturday. Officers reported the wreck on March 18 at about 1:11 a.m.
The incident happened when two cars collided head-on for an unknown reason in South Los Angeles. The vehicles crashed in the 1900 block of West Florence Avenue near Western Avenue.
2 Cars Collide
A video showed that both cars obtained major front-end damage upon impact. Two people ended up trapped inside the vehicles as a result of the collision.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then freed the occupants from the wreckage. One individual soon died at the scene.
Medical personnel then rushed the other patient to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, officers forced Florence Avenue to shut down in both directions between St Andrews Place and Gramercy Place following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Los Angeles crash is still under investigation.
