Pedestrian Killed in South Los Angeles Crash on Vermont Avenue
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (October 25, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian on Vermont Avenue in South Los Angeles.

According to an article published by My News LA, the tragic accident took place on Monday night. Officers reported the collision shortly after 8:55 p.m.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in South Los Angeles. The driver hit the person at 8539 South Vermont Avenue.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the then paramedics arrived, near the Algin Sutton Recreation Center. They found the victim trapped underneath the car as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the patient dead at the scene. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police did not mention if the motorist stopped or stayed at the site following the accident. Officers forced a stretch of Vermont Avenue to shut down for a time after the collision.
The cause of the fatal Los Angeles pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
