Tow Truck Driver Fatally Struck by Vehicle Near Milepost 49
Klamath County, CA (July 29, 2022) – Spencer Hughes, a 32-year-old man, died following a traffic accident that occurred on State Route 140.
The News10 reported Hughes was walking on the freeway near milepost 49 Friday morning. Our sources indicated the man was about to retrieve the vehicle from the side of SR-140. While walking across the highway, an eastbound Ford F-150 struck the man.
Officials said the horrible crash took place near milepost 49.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident on State Route 140 in Klamath County
When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found the tow truck operator suffering in injuries. Paramedics rushed the victim to the hospital, but he sadly died in transit. Authorities identified the deceased as Spencer Hughes.
Several factors surrounding the unfortunate event remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate exactly how and why the deadly accident happened on State Route 140 in Klamath County.
