Newport Beach Law Firm Adopts Family for Christmas
COSTA MESA, Calif. (Dec. 18, 2023) — The staff at Johnson Attorneys Group is making this Christmas brighter for a single mom and her three teenagers.
The family of four is among 1,161 deserving families comprised of of 5,668 people enrolled in the Adopt-A-Family program at Share Our Selves in Costa Mesa.
“There is no greater joy than helping someone in need,” said Attorney James Johnson. “Our staff also connected by buying gifts for the family as well as volunteering at the Orange County Fairgrounds distribution center to wrap toys for other families who were not selected for adoption this year.”
The Adopt-a-Family program operated by Share Our Selves in Costa Mesa invites members of the community to either donate gifts or choose a specific family to buy gifts and fill their Christmas list.
Since December 2017, our Newport Beach law firm has made it a tradition to pick at least one family or more and fill their Christmas list.
This year our family is a single mother with three teenagers including a 15-year-old boy and 17-year-old twin girls who are seniors in high school. The family is having trouble making ends meet even though mom works full time. Their wish list included mostly shoes, toys and bicycles.
Share Our Selves (SOS), started its Adopt-a-Family program 54 years ago in 1969. Over the past five decades, generous donors throughout Southern California “adopted” more than 50,000 families.
