2 Hurt in Hit-and-Run Collision on Jamacha Road Tuesday
Spring Valley, CA (July 15, 2021) – On July 13, Tuesday, two innocent drivers suffered injuries following a suspected DUI car crash in the area of Jamacha Road and Kempton Street.
The NBC San Diego News reported a 21-year-old man was driving a 1998 Mitsubishi Montero heading east on Jamacha Road. Per article published online, the Mitsubishi struck the rear of a GMC Sierra as it entered the intersection at Kempton Street.
Our sources indicated the 73-year-old man behind the wheel of the GMC sustained injuries as a result of the incident.
After the initial crash, the Mitsubishi driver fled the scene. Preliminary investigation revealed the suspect vehicle hit a second car as it ran a red light at State Route 125. Authorities said the 41-year-old woman driving the 2012 Kia Sorento sustained minor injuries from the wreck.

Officials mentioned the Mitsubishi flipped over, causing injuries to the driver. Investigators later determined the suspect was drunk at the time of the accidents.
Police charged the man with felony DUI and hit-and-run charges.
