Pedestrian Killed in Spring Valley Crash Near Jamacha and Gillespie
SPRING VALLEY, CA (September 13, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed after a crash near Jamacha Boulevard and Gillespie Drive in Spring Valley.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the tragic accident occurred on Monday night. Officers reported the collision at about 9:45 p.m. in the La Presa community.
According to CHP, a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Spring Valley. The driver hit the person near the intersection of Jamacha Boulevard and Gillespie Drive.

Firefighters along with the paramedics then arrived at the scene near the Albertsons and Unleashed by Petco stores. They found the victim down on the ground as a result of the incident.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the patient dead. The name of the deceased party remains unreleased pending notification of family.
Meanwhile, CHP believed that the motorist stopped after hitting the victim. Officers forced the area of Jamacha Boulevard and Gillespie Drive to shut down for a time following the crash.
The cause of the fatal Spring Valley pedestrian collision is still under investigation.
