Pedestrian Injured in Spring Valley Hit-and-Run Crash on Leland Street
SPRING VALLEY, CA (March 11, 2022) – A pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run crash on Leland Street in Spring Valley.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Friday evening. According to their dispatch, officers reported the collision at about 6:30 p.m.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver hit the person at 101 Leland Street in Spring Valley.
Driver Hits Victim, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near St George Street. They found the victim left lying in the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel provided aid to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the victim and fled the area. Officers forced a stretch of Leland Street to shut down following the accident.
The cause of the Spring Valley hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
