
SPRING VALLEY, Calif. (Jan. 23, 2023) — A wrong-way driver in a stolen SUV crashed head-on into another motorist Sunday on State Route 125 in Spring Valley.
The Spring Valley crash occurred about 10 a.m. on SR-125, just north of the Jamacha Road off ramp in San Diego County, according to the San Diego Union Tribune.
The stolen Mitsubishi SUV reportedly crashed into a driver in a another vehicle as it fled an earlier police pursuit. Both vehicles suffered moderate front-end damage in the collision.
The suspect in the stolen SUV fled on foot after the collision on SR-125, according to the San Diego Police Department.
Meanwhile, the victim and a passenger from the SUV both suffered injuries in the crash and were taken to a hospital.
Police continue to search for the suspect and the crash on State Route 125 remains under investigation.
