Stacey Cloud, 57, Killed in South Sacramento Pedestrian Crash on Florin Road
SACRAMENTO, CA (August 19, 2022) – Stacey Cloud was killed after a pedestrian crash on Florin Road in South Sacramento.
The coroner’s office identified the 57-year-old Sacramento man as the victim of the fatal collision which took place on Wednesday.
The incident happened when Stacey Lloyd Cloud was walking south on Florin Road, east of East Southgate Drive, in South Sacramento.
A Dodge Challenger going east at about 40 mph approached the uncontrolled intersection. The driver saw the man and then swerved to avoid him.
Man Hit by Car
At the same time, the victim moved from the middle lane to the left lane. The California Highway Patrol said in the process, the car struck him.
The Sacramento Bee and ABC 10 News wrote that the accident occurred on August 17 at about 8:23 a.m. The area is in front of the Krispy Kreme and near 65th Street.
Stacey Cloud died at the scene of the pedestrian accident. Meanwhile, CHP added that the 23-year-old Oakley man stopped and stayed at the site after the collision.
Officers forced a stretch of Florin Road to shut down for a time following the accident. The cause of the Sacramento pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
