
Bicycle Rider Injured in Stanford Crash on Campus Drive
STANFORD, CA (March 4, 2023) – A bicycle rider was hospitalized after a crash near Campus Drive and Sam McDonald Mall in Stanford.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the accident on Friday morning. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at around 6:25 a.m.
The incident happened on March 3 when a Stanford University vehicle struck the bicycle rider. For an unknown reason, the driver hit the victim on Campus Drive near Sam McDonald Mall.
Bicyclist Hit by University Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the bicyclist hurt. The patient sustained a laceration to their head as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the cyclist to the hospital for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the motorist stopped or stayed at the site following the accident. Officers forced a stretch of Campus Drive to shut down after the wreck.
The cause of the Stanford bicycle crash is still under investigation.
