Deadly Head-On Collision Near Dunton Road

Stanislaus County, CA (February 27, 2023) – Two people died following a car accident that occurred on Highway 4 Monday morning, February 27.

According to Modesto Bee News, a 21-year-old woman was behind the wheel of a 2010 Honda sedan heading east on the highway. Earlier reports indicated the female driver approached a left bend in the roadway and tried to pass a slower-moving vehicle. Officials said the Honda crossed the double yellow line and veered into the path of a westbound 2004 Toyota pickup truck.

Shortly after 6:40 a.m., emergency crews arrived at the location. Responding paramedics immediately attended to the two drivers involved in the horrible crash. Despite life-saving measures performed by medical personnel, the two parties sadly succumbed to their injuries and died at the scene. The names of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.

Investigators assigned to handle the case continue to work at this time to determine the precise cause of the deadly accident that happened on Highway 4 in Stanislaus County.
