STANTON, Calif. (Oct. 20, 2017) — A 59-year-old Stanton man died Thursday night when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver in an SUV at Beach Boulevard and Katella Avenue, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Police say the victim was crossing westbound on Beach Boulevard against a red traffic light when he was struck by the vehicle about 8:05 p.m. last night. The driver fled northbound from the scene. The vehicle is described as a gold or beige Chevrolet or GMC SUV with significant front-end damage.
The crash remains under investigation by police.
