Pedestrian Killed in Stanton Accident on Katella Avenue Tuesday
STANTON, CA (April 20, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed after an accident along Katella Avenue in Stanton.
According to an article published by My News LA, the tragic incident occurred on Tuesday night. Officers reported the crash at about 9 p.m.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department said a vehicle struck a woman for an unknown reason. The driver hit the pedestrian in the 7600 block of Katella Avenue in Stanton.
Woman Hit by Vehicle Near Date Street
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near Date Street. They found the victim lying on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced her dead at the scene. Her name remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, deputies took the motorist involved to a hospital for a DUI test. Officials forced the roadway to shut down for a time following the crash.
The cause of the fatal Stanton pedestrian accident is still under investigation.
